Your Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Arrival Nairobi airport on board your flight. Met and greeted with our 'traditional style' welcome and escorted to a city hotel of your choice by a Premier Vacations Africa staff. Time permitting, afternoon is spent on a Nairobi city orientation sightseeing tour. City Centre.Optional dinner at the famous Carnivore Restaurant. [Bed & Breakfast].

Day 2: Drive to Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary
After a hearty breakfast depart for Nanyuki to arrive at Sweetwaters on the slopes of Mount Kenya in time for lunch. Afternoon game-viewing drive including a visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary. The kids will have an optunity to touch and pat the resident rhino 'Morani' in addition to other activities. Optional night game viewing drive. Dinner and overnight at the luxurious Sweetwaters Luxury Tented Camp. [Full Board]

Day 3: Drive to Shaba / Samburu Game Reserve
After breakfast depart for Samburu Game Reserve to arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game-viewing drive in this stark countryside which is an amazing sanctuary for Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk, Elephant, Leopard, Lion and other plains game. Children can enjoy a swim in this semi-desert country. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Shaba Lodge. [Full Board]

Day 4: Full Day in Shaba / Samburu Game Reserve

Full day in this amazing country side of Shaba and the neighbouring Samburu Game Reserve. Early morning game-viewing drive then return to the camp for breakfast. Morning at leisure. Lunch is followed by another game-viewing drive or a swim by the pool retiring for dinner and overnight at Sarova Shaba Lodge. [Full Board]

Day 5: Drive to the Great Rift Valley Lakes
After and early breakfast in Samburu, proceed south and across the equator descending down the Great Rift Valley to the new Rift Valley Golf Resort and Country Club. The kids will become automatic members of the Young Adventurer's Club. They will have an opportunity to conduct horse riding activities among others(this Optional Activity). We later return for dinner and overnight at Rift Valley Golf Resort and Country Club. [Full Board]

Day 6: Full Day in the Great Rift Valley
Full day in this exciting resort with activities in the resort with optional excursion to Lake Nakuru National Park to see the millions of resident flamingos and more recently the black rhino and the leopard. We later return for dinner and overnight at Rift Valley Golf Resort and Country Club. [Full Board]

Day 7: Drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast proceed to the world famous and Kenya's finest game reserve - Maasai Mara Game Reserve to arrive in time for lunch at Mara Sopa Safari Lodge. Afternoon proceed on a game-viewing drive to return for dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Safari Lodge. Full Board. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Safari Lodge. [Full Board]

Day 8: Full day in Masai Mara Game Reserve
Early breakfast is followed by an exciting full morning's game-viewing drive including a visit to Mara River to view the hippo's at the hippo pool. Lunch is followed by an afternoon game-viewing drive. Optional hot air balloon ride available on request and at an extra cost. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Safari Lodge. [Full Board]

Day 9: Drive Back To Nairobi and Depart
After breakfast, say 'Kwaheri' - a Swahili word for bye to Masai Mara and leisurely drive back to Nairobi to arrive around midday and in time for lunch. Day rooms have been reserved until 1800 hrs for your comfort. Dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant - time permitting. Later we transfer you to the airport for your home bound/ departure flight having seen Kenya and tasted a true African family adventure!

NOTE: An extension to the Kenya Coast at a beach hotel is recommended for families wishing to explore Kenya at a full length. Details pertaining to coast extension are available on request.

Please Note: Rooms in most safari lodges in Kenya are not very large and can only accommodate one extra bed. We recommend families with more than two children to take an extra room for children. Children occupying own room pay 75% of the adult rate while those sharing room parents (adults) pay 50% of the adult rate. A 'child' here refers to anybody aged below 12 years of age. Those under 2 years are referred to as the 'infants' travel free of charge.
